This week has seen many hours of wet sanding, machine polishing, ceramic coatings and long days. But it has been an amazing week and such an honour to work on 2 very rare and special vehicles.
Both handed back today to 2 very lucky customers.
First up is the F1 Red Bull limited edition Aston Martin Vantage V12 S, with only 5 of these due to be built and this being the very first registered and hitting the UK roads it is a very special and stunning masterpiece. It came to us straight from the factory and the paint condition was far from perfect, hours of wet sanding and machine polishing was needed to get this ready for the owners wedding that weekend.
We had to deal with a range of defects from light swirls to deep scratches and prep marks that required wet sanding. Around 40 hours of correctional work went into this Aston, but worth every second of it to get the results this rare masterpiece deserved. The chosen protection coating was Feynlab Ceramic plus offering 5 years of protection with some self healing properties to keep the paintwork looking its best for years to come.
The heartbeat of this rare Aston is of course their V12, when we opened the bonnet to carry out our engine bay detail this is when we noticed the signature. One of my top Formula one drivers Mr Max Verstappen had personally signed the plaque under the bonnet, giving this Aston his seal of approval. I wonder if it was Max himself that did the 16 miles showing on the clocks.
Enjoy the photo’s as much as we enjoyed working on such a stunning and rare Aston Martin.
